monday 5/9

finally!, since last time lots of stuff has happened

(the layout is messed up!! but damn i hate this "blogger" website.. terrible to work in)

well first of all, in the begining of March i went to Connecticut with dad, it was only a weekend but we surely had an amazing time. I came late Friday, so we just grapped a burrito on the way back from the airport (pretty good). Then Saturday papi had to work in the morning, and then later we went to Yale University, which was no more than 15 minutes from were we stayed. That was amazing there! , i really enjoyed to see this old school university. Sunday we just relaxed and then around noon we had to leave again. So it sure was a short visit, but it was very nice to see him again.

Then another week i had my cooking friday. And i decided that i would cook my family some frikadeller with ovnbagte groentsager. It turned out pretty good, as you might be able to see from these two pictures.

Then we had the "grammys" at our school. Which is where you get nominated for different kinds of stuff, i did not win anything though. This year, the MTV show "Made" has been at our school, and this is the performance from the girl Joelisa, who wanted to be made into a rapper
Then another weekend Alex and his hostfamily was here in Detroit once again visiting us! We had a real good time again, we just basically did the usual, they came friday and went home monday, sunday he went with me, matteo and daniella to our youth group :) All together it was really nice seeing him again!

Then i took a couple of pictures of our schools "honor roll" just because im on it. Its for the students with only a's and b's on their report card

One of Kens friends, she's a professor at University of Michigan, (which is top 10 in America) and she had asked if me and Matteo wanted to visit up there for a day. So then we went, and it was just an amazing experience, ofcourse i had already seen Yale, but here we were at an actual lecture, talked to students, got showed around inside the dormitories, and got to ask as many questions as wanted etc etc. very very nice!

One weekend me and a guy from my golf team (this spring i am playing golf for my schools golfteam) so we just went out to practise, and here a picture and a little video.

lately me and Daniela (the exchange student from ecuador) has spend more and more time together. Which is very nice :)

heres a couple of pictures from my spring break trip to Florida, which was gooooood!

Monday 2/28

I apologize for not opdating for 2 months..
well since last time a lot of stuff has happened, first of all we had our christmas eve. We celebrated christmas eve at one of my friends house - Angela. They had a big party where the entire family was invited, and then including us. Christmas was fun, but this was the first time during the year that i actually felt that i really missed Denmark. Because there was no dancing around the christmass tree, no flaeskesteg, no duck or brown gravy for that matter... But it was good, we had an italian dinner (because angela is italian) so it was all good. In the picture below is me and robert - angelas cousin.Well then it became the 25th and it was time to open up the christmass presents! So in the morning we went down to the game room and opened them up.. not quite like in denmark but it was alright :) I had bought a wonderfull christmass tie for ken, and beside that i got him some hershey's chocolate from chicago.. Matteo got him a sweater. and Ken gave both me and Matteo a CD of some phonescams that we use to listen to on the way to school :) As you probably can see in the picture, then Ken truely LOVED the christmass tie, no doubt - the facial expression tells everything.
Then the next day - the 26th. We had planned to go to Alexs house in Indiana. So we drove down there, and slept overnight. The next day we went to alex's church, which was way different than the one we usually goes to. This was a really small church, and it was almost like everybody knowing eachother - that was pretty cool! Well the service on the other hand, was not super cool, pretty boring actually. exept this old man on the guitar, he was awesome haha! Well afterwards me and Alex had decided to make up for this untraditional christmasss, so we wanted to make flaeskesteg, browned potatoes, brown gravy, red cabbage and ris ala mande. Everything went pretty good, but not as mama makes it..

well and then someday during january.. i dont really remember when, we had the honor to welcome Kareem Abdul Jabbar to our school, the most scoring NBA player in the world! He was here to make a sort of speech, and then present a movie/documentary that he has produced. The movie was basically about a basketball team called the Harlem Renaissance, a team that is no longer playing. It was really cool, and nice to see this huge guy - 7ft tall..
Well as some of you probably already know, because i told you. I have been joining the Renaissance Swimteam over the winter season. In the beginning i thought that swimming was kind of boring, because i just got used to football.. But after a while I found swimming very interesting, and now i really miss the swim season.. (at the picture to the right, we are at a school called Cass-tech, it is a highschool downtown). Then here in the beginning of february, it came what we had been training for the entire season basically. The swim championships! . AND WE WON!! :) we won in division 2, detroit is divided into divison 1 and 2. and we won for division 2! I won gold medal in 400 free relay, bronze in 200 free relay, and bronze in 50 free individual! My time on the 50 free was a new record! it was 28.59 - i was super happy :)

Then the winterbreak came, during the break we did not really do a lot, it was pretty much just time to relax a little. But we did something, twice during the week we went to an indoor skatepark, which was pretty cool! called modern skatepark. This break i realized how much i have been missing to do skateboarding while being here in america, to the right you see a picture of me in the skatepark.

Then last saturday we got tickets to an NBA game, Detroit Pistons vs Utah Jazz. We got the tickets trough William (my hostbrother) he's a cheerleader at his high school and they were performing at the game.
