Okay now theres only 1 day for christmas...

In the past month the weather has been really cold, and we finally got some snow. Aswell as the snow, we have decorated the house. Matteo decorated the outside of the house with lights. And i put up this artificial christmas tree, which probably took me all together 5 hours... sigh.. it was horrible, but when i was done i felt so good about my self lol.

The christmas tree and the outside was not the only thing being decorated.. Ken also decorated the inside of the house.













In the beginning of december we went with the football team to have our final dinner. It was really nice, we went to this place called the golden chorale. And our coach talked about the team and us players as individuals. :) i really miss being in the team, unfortunately the season is long gone. In the picture below you see me and my coach standing together, when he gave me the trophy you see to the right -->

Not only inside it we were getting the christmas atmosphere.. outside it was amazing aswell.. what wasnt so awesome was the fact that we usually got minus 13 degrees.. which is way to cold for me.. But it is really pretty though.


We also had the winther concert at school. or there is actually two. One for the bands, and of for the chorus department. So first we went to matteos concert, where he played. And a couple of days later we went to my concert. unfortunately the pictures from the choir concert is at matteos camera, and theres something wrong at the moment..
Then at church they had this special christmas program. The ticket was 18dollars. but it was worth every single penny. It was soooo goood! i wish all of you could see it lol. Well i took a few pictures, i was afraid to get caught haha, it was not legal to take photos in there.

The friday when we got the christmas break, Ken hosted a party for the organization of the neighboorhood GRDC. Us boys had to be "ushers" which was alright.. There was an norwegian woman, so i got to speek some danish :) Our job was to serve drinks, snacks etc..
In the picture below, margharit is sitting at the piano entertaining and the guests are pretty much just having a good time.

Then it was finally christmas break. I had looked forward to this moment of my life for so long :p haha. It was really nice finally getting off school a little. In the first weekend of the break. My friend, she is an exchange student from ecuador. Asked if i wanted to go with her, her friend and her family to chicago. And i said yes ofcourse! Chicago was really really cool! im so happy that we are gonna go back to there. First we went to stay over night at her hostmoms brother, and then the next day we went to chicago! . i must admit that the city of chicago is a little bit cooler that detroit.. :) On the right you see the house where we stayed over night.

It was also kinda nice, because i got to visit my second house. you know.. the donald trump tower, and ofcourse my car was parked in front. That was really nice.
I spend a couple of days with my friend Daniela, we went christmas shopping at the mall, and here in the picture we were cooking brownies at her house.

Monday 11/29

The latest month has been alot of homework.. unfortunately.. many hours spend on doing the homework for every single class in school. But it is okay, I really like the school so for me it is fine to deal with the homework. I usually, (as in the picture) sit down, relax, have something to drink.. and then just do my homework.. Then we got the "report cards" where you get your overall grade, mine was 3,3 where the highest is 4.
an A = 4 point, B = 3, C = 2, D = 1, F = 0. So my average is a Between a A and B.

Then my parents told me that they thought I should put up some pictures of the security system at school. So here it is. Every day we enter the school we have to go through the metal detector and get our bags checked by the security guards. In the beginning it was a weird thing, but after a while it has become normal

Now it starts getting colder and colder. I have started wearing my winter coat, gloves and hat. Aswell it gave me and matteo some chores.. one of them was picking up ALL the leafs in the garden.. uf it was a nightmare. but fortunately afterwards we went to Five Guys. which is a fast food restaurant who makes THE BEST BURGERS in the world..

Then it became Thanksgiving. It was the perfect week. Monday and Tuesday = school. Wednesday = half day. and then thanksgiving break. Thursday for lunch, we went and had a thanksgiving dinner at Ken's old church. The food was just amazing, and there were SOO much food. it was really good, the perfect start of a thanksgiving holiday.

After the absolutely amazing dinner, it was time to hit the road for Washington DC. I had been looking forward to this trip for alot of time, and it was finally to come!! We drove 4 hours and staying overnight in a town outside Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. We staying at a cheap cheap but okay Motel..... Motel 6!

The next day we arrived in Washington DC. I can write 10 pages about my experience in washington DC, it was just AMAZING! i really enjoyed my time there. This city is so fantastic. We went to see all the different memorials, museums, buildings, white house, GeorgeTown, Downtown etc... REALLY NICE!

Sunday 10/24

Okay its time to opdate the blog again, and here it is.

i want to start out with 3 weeks, on thursdag we had our peprally where all the football players get announced and theres a big show put up. We had the marching band playing and dancers dancing and so on. It was alot of fun, and it was really nice when they announced number 2. our kicker.., KRUSE!

The day after did we play our homecoming game, it was my very first game and i felt alot of pressure on me :) but fortunately i made a good kick, so we were in the lead 7-6 all the way till 20seconds before the end. Then they scored a touchdown and we lost our game, and unfortunately didnt go to the playoffs..

Then saturday after the game we went to the homecoming dance which was really fun. The we went to a dancehall downtown called Cobo hall, and it was alot of fun. It was very different from how we party in europe, especially the way they dance haha :)

Then the weekend after i went to another homecoming which was alot of fun too! it was at a private school called Detroit Country Day!

I really enjoyed the homecoming, it was soo fun to try. But im not sure that i like it more than the way they party in denmark :)

As you can see in the picture we had to wear formal clothes, which was NIIICE! because we never do that for a party in denmark

Then the next week came up. and now it was time for another game. We was going to play Osborn High School. It was the last game of the season, and in my case it was the last of my entire career! Everyone on the team was really disapointed that we didnt make it for the playoffs. We decided to go out in the field and just have some fun, AND WE DID! we won the game 23-6.. i made 3 ekstra points in the game, and it was a PERFECT ending of the season AND a perfect start of a really amazing weekend!! :)

But as i said, this was not the only good thing about this weekend, it was just the beginning. After we came back to the highschool after the game, Alexander Mazin and his hostmom Susan and brother Daniel came to pick us up with Ken! I already planned this with alex, and i actually hoped that they would come and see the game, but it didnt matter too much, it was just really nice to see him! :)

The day after we went to the mall me Alex, Susan and Daniel it was nice, i really like that family :) and i bought a sweatshirt, but then when we came home around 7 oclock. Margharit started asking me and matteo if it was alright with us if a stranger came for 2 or 3 days and stayed in our room. It was a really weird situation but we ended up saying okay. Afterwards someone was knocking on the door, and they came back and told me it was some guys from the football team wanted to talk to me. So i went out there to talk to the guys, and when i opened the doors i didnt see any football guys at all.... What i saw was my dad standing there in front of me... i didnt really know what to say, and i couldnt say anything, untill i asked.. Why are you here? :p and then i realized that he was here for the weekend, and we had a blast that night! it was really nice to see him!! :) So we had some food, and then i was in Detroit with Alex and my dad! which was amazing! :)

Sunday 10/3

Okay now its like 2 weeks since i updated last, so i think its time to do it again :)
Well theres nothing really new about the school, i start to like all my classes. Its nice to go to the school, and i look forward to start in school tomorrow again.

Last weekend we had alot of fun, me Matteo and Kens friend Jim went to the driving range. We had a hillarious time, and it was really nice to swing the clubs again.

And after this we went to one of Kens friends (Margarit) 's church, because she plays the piano there. It is an Armenian church, and it looks kinda like an European church... old and boring.. So it was acctually kind of boring.. on sunday we did for the usual church program.

the following week turned out to be REALLY GOOD! because me and Matteo is now on the football team! We had two practises and the team are really excited about having us on the team, and we are ofcourse really excited about being there. Both of us are "kickers" and thats because we can play soccer and they didnt really have a good kicker, so now we are the kickers :) its really fun, and i like the teamspirit on a football team like this, its really amazing!! Another thing thats funny about being on the football team is that every friday when we have a game, we HAVE to wear shirt and tie. so heres a picture :)

Unfortunately we lost our game this friday, we went to overtime, and then we lost it..
