Monday 9/20

Now ive been in school for 2 weeks. :)
As i promised last week i got my picture of me and matteo in our school uniforms.. the uniform is that we MUST wear long khaki pants. and then a polo or a shirt. in white or burgundy. but its alright :):)
Now i remember how it is to go to school again.. i dont like to get up at 6:15 every single day.. and now its monday again.. oh :)
The reason we get up so early is because we gotta leave the house at 7:05. Williams school starts at 7:30 so we gotta drive over there first, and then after that we go to Renaissance where we start in school at 8. And every day we get off the school at 3:15. its a long day, but its alright! :)
Beside the picture of me and Matteo i took some pictures in the school. The first picture you see is in our Physical Education class. as you can see are we all wearing our own clothes. and it is because we havent got our PE Uniform yet. This class is my favorite class, i think its really nice to run around and do different sports.. and beside that i like the teacher Mr. Miotke. :) :) (hes the guy that took the picture!)
The second picture is not really a good picture, i just took it to illustrate how the class rooms are. The rooms are really really normal. nothing special really, just like Denmark. Well some of the classes got computers, and thats the only difference. For example this class (which is my German IV class room) got computers.

Then it got friday and the weekend started.. and because it was friday, it was gameday ofcourse! So i decided to go to the game, to support the team ofcourse! :) i asked matteo if he wanted to go with me, but he didnt really felt like going.. so he went home instead. Fortunately i talked to some guys from the school at the parking lot. And we went to tacobell to get some lunch and then go back to the game. When we came back to the game, it was just started.. It seemed to be a good game, because the weather was perfect! I was sitting with some friends from the school. The game was not really interesting, because the other team was WAY better, so they won by... alot.. it got abit boring, so we went home to Joey's house and played some soccer, football videogames etc. me and the people from the picture + 2 other.

That was friday.. We didnt do much saturday. and sunday was the usual church in the "morning" and then home to make some homework, and then at 6 me william and betina went to the church youth group. I couldnt understand that this was in a church.. really.. when we came in there were like 200 other highschool kids. and it was chaotic. people were playing games and much more.. Then after maybe 15 minutes, we had to go to a room with a scene. and some guys was rapping Kanye West songs... It was just so unrealistic that this was in a church.. :p then after that the youthpastor came in and made a service, talked about addiction and stuff. When he was finish we went out to some "small groups" and answered some questions about it, and just talked generally. It was a good experience, and im sure that im going to the youth group next sunday too.

This last picture is from the the morning service, not the youth group :)

The time around 9/11

Then its time to let you know whats going on over here!

First off all, i want to let everyone know that everything is going great. Sometimes times fly, sometimes it goes slow, sometimes i think of how it is at home, sometimes i just love being here!! But i begin to like it more and more to be here, and i get along with the entire family very well. Sometimes i enjoy being here too much, as you can see in the picture with William and Matteo eating donuts. The empty chair is mine yes...

We had alot of donuts, and they are AWESOME!! :)

And yes, Matteo looks weird.. its because he is having a mouth orgasm, cause they are so GOOD!

But even though we eat LOTS of donuts we are still keeping it real :p hahaha

Well beside eating donuts, i started in Renaissance High School... wooow, thats different!!

The first day we went to the school in our uniforms. khaki pants and burgandi or white polo. We had our scheduals. im having Physical Education, German, World History, English, Biology, Marketing, Math. But tomorrow im gonna make some changes..

When we walked trough to halls for the first class, it seemed like everyone was looking at us.. We were the foreigners, and also the minority because we are white. So so many people looked at us, and fortunately some wanted to talk to us aswell :)

Then it came to lunch time.. i was alone by this time, and i was in shock. It was like 500 people in one single room. and it was chaos.. REALLY CHAOTIC! it was impossible to hear anything because of noise, its almost impossible to find a seet because of people. Fortunately i found Matteo and Angelo (a friend of William, we got introduced to some days before school) Then the rest of the day went fine, and i talked to some kids

This is one of the few things that surprised me alot. and it is that when i was in Denmark and we were talking about going to highschool in USA, everyone thought that it was easier than Denmark. But since i got to this VERY high performing High School its really hard. And i even have to change my math class because im not as smart as they seems to be.. So its a really different from what i thought, because now im at a school that expects more and harder than ive ever tried before.. So that was prejudice to think that the school would be alot easier. But when i get the classes that fits me, im sure it will be just fine! :)

I wish i had some pictures from the school, but i promise you will get a picture of me and matteo in school uniform :) :)

That was how the first week of school turned out to be.

Then it became weekend, Ken and his friend Margerit had a garage sale. (i know i look tired on the picture, and its bad...) We had to help getting all the furnitures out by the road, it was alot of work. But now i know what a real garage sale is like... :) The garage sale was not all good, because when the weak italian had to carry a table he hurt hes back so bad. That he couldnt go the the goodbye party of Darren (a student from renaissance that is going to spain for a year) i went there and it was fun meeting some people outside the school :)

I think that is experience is going to learn me ALOT about culture and different lifestyles from what we have in Denmark.. Today Matteo said that now he could understand how it was for a black person to move into a white society.

Labor Day News :)

Okay, now ive been here for.. around 10 day, and so far its great!! :)

Since last time i opdated my blog, we picked up my exchange-brother Matteo Salvini from the airport. Hes a cool, and we play alot of pool and both of us love it, unfortunately for him he always loses :p Beside playing pool, we listen to danish and italian music, watch movies, go skate, go shopping, etc..

The first picture is in the airport when we picked Matteo up. On the picture is John, Me, Mario, William and Matteo.

The second picture is me and Matteo playing pool :)

So during these days before school we have alot of fun, and alot of TIME. So me and Matteo had been cooking dinner to the family twice. The first meal we made was Spaghetti Bolognese :) it was really good, even better than mom makes it ;) The entire family liked the dinner, and i dont think that it was a meal they were used to get. The second thing we cooked was hakkeboef og bloede loeg :p. It turned out to be really good, i served it with some vegetables and a salat. It was good too, eventhough i failed on making the soft onions.. In the pictures you see me and Matteo making the first dinner, and then the family eating :)

At saturday we went to the amusement park Cedar Point, its the park with the most rollercoasters in the world, and if you are looking for serious rides, this is the place thats recommended!! IT WAS AWESOME :):):) it was huuuge, it was on its own island, and it was pure fun.. The only thing that wasnt fun was the fact that we were leaving the house at 7am. But it 9 we had breakfast at McDonalds and then we were going :)

We had to pay 40dollars for the entry but it was worth every single cent. This made Tivoli and Demonen look like a joke :) im gonna opload a few pictures of some of the rides, i forgot taking pictures of the highest one. But the yellow one that goes straight up and straight down was the most fun. It accelerated from 0 to 140 km/h in 4 seconds, and went 420 feet UUUUP :) awesome! And the red thing went up to an angle of something like 100 degrees, it was so much fun :)

Beside doing the rollercoasters Ken wanted a drawing of me and Matteo in the park. It turned out to be a pretty good picture :)

It was a really good day, and we all had fun. It was deffinately worth the two hour drive each way, and now ive been in Ohio too :)

Sunday me Matteo and William went out skating, it was nice to make some tricks and skate again. William wants to learn it so bad, but it dont think it will work out for him :p

We had fun, and i get along really good with both Matteo and William
